Daily Routine for 2-Nap Babies

✨ 2-nap daily routine✨

The 2-nap routine for babies is one of the easiest and most intuitive! For most babies, this is within the 8-13 month age range.

Some babies can drop down from 3 to 2 naps as early as 7 months, and by 9 months they are solidly in the 2-nap camp! They usually continue to take 2 naps until 12-14 months.

This includes a morning nap and an afternoon nap.

You will usually start to realize that their morning wake window is a lot longer, and they can go longer at night before becoming tired and ready for bed - signifying the ability to drop the third nap.

A fixed wake up time (I recommend 7am) is super helpful, as you will be able to easily stick to the rest of the day’s routine without having to do mental math of wake windows etc.

Getting plenty of sunlight and activity during the wake times will help your baby go down for naptime like a dream!

Sample daily routine for the 2-nap, 8-13 month age range (may vary slightly from baby to baby)

7a: Wake, eat, sunlight, activity
10a: Sleep sack & nap
11a: Wake, eat, sunlight, activity
2p: Sleep sack & nap
3p: Wake, eat, calm activities
5p: no screens past this point if possible
6:30p: Begin bedtime routine
7p: Asleep in crib 😴😴
